Tournament Food

Lost a heartbreaker to The Woodlands 26-24, 29-30, 25-22. We go to the Silver Division.

Correction to the last post and even better news:  Catherine Ken was not named All Tournament but was  named Best Defensive Player for the Tournament! Congratulations, Catherine!!

HP lost to Magnolia in two in the final match and finished in 6th place overall for the tournament.

Congratulations to Margeaux Mendenhall and Catherine Ken who were both named All Tournament!!!  Good job, ladies!!

HP lost to Friendswood in three.  25-16 21-25 25-19.  We play at 3:30 the loser of Lake Travis and Magnolia. (Both good teams).  Match should be early.

Undefeated for the day!!!! HP beat Dumas 25-11 25-19. HP plays Frisco Liberty at 8:00am on gym 1 at BNHS. If we win or lose, we also play at 11am.

Hp beat Mesquite Poteet 26-28 25-18 25-14
Hp beat Cedar Park 25-19 22-25 25-21. We play Dumas at 4:30 but will probably much earlier as they are running way ahead in gym #5 at Byron Nelson High School not Medlin Middle School as originally scheduled.

Byron Nelson Tournament

Pool play for the team on Friday is scheduled at Gym #5 at Medlin Middle School. All three matches are scheduled for Medlin.  This should be about 6 miles closer to HP than the Justin Northwest High School where the tournament was held last year.  Byron Nelson High School is a new high school in the Northwest ISD and is close to Medlin Middle School.  Medlin Middle School address is 601 Parkview Drive, Roanoke, TX 76262-4218.

Big News and Many Thanks

Our own Margeaux Mendenhall was named All Tournament at the Duncanville Tournament.  Congratulations, Margeaux!!

A big thank you to Patty Ken and Lori Lloyd for doing a GREAT job of providing food and drinks this weekend for the girls!  And another big thank you to the Lloyds for hosting a very fun parent's party after the tournament!

Duncanville update

HP beat Stephenville 25-14, 25-14 and plays the winner of Arlington Martin and Colleyville Heritage at 10:00am on Saturday in the Main Gym #1. HP is in the Silver Division Bracket.

It is some consolation that 4A Magnolia, after putting HP in the losers bracket in 3 sets, knocked out the recent 5A champ Amarillo in 2 sets. Magnolia plays Pearce at 8am Saturday in the quarterfinals.

Duncanville update

HP won 25-7, 25-23 against Clear Springs at 8:00am. We now face Magnolia at noon.
