HP lost to Lake Highlands in three in the Silver Division Championship. HP was 5-3 for the tournament.

HP beat FB Travis in 3. 25-19 14-25 25-20. We are about to play Clements. It is in Sugarland. If we win we play in the championship for Silver the winner of new braunfels and Lake Highlands.

Hp beat Cedar Park 25-19 22-25 25-21. We play Dumas at 4:30 but will probably much earlier as they are running way ahead in gym #5 at Byron Nelson High School not Medlin Middle School as originally scheduled.

Pool play for the team on Friday is scheduled at Gym #5 at Medlin Middle School. All three matches are scheduled for Medlin.  This should be about 6 miles closer to HP than the Justin Northwest High School where the tournament was held last year.  Byron Nelson High School is a new high school in the Northwest ISD and is close to Medlin Middle School.  Medlin Middle School address is 601 Parkview Drive, Roanoke, TX 76262-4218.

Comments: Lake Travis traveled to Class 5a Seguin for a season opener with the Matadors, a team that beat lake Travis last year in Class 4A regional but it was win one of an impressive start that saw the Cavaliers win the Warrior showcase by beating 5A San Antonio Reagan in the semifinals and 5A San Antonio lady Bird Johnson in the finals.  Pearce was also impressive beating Westlake to win the Duncanville tournament of champions.  Canyon Randall won their tournament beating El Paso Chapin in the finals.  Hereford downed Dalhart for third place.  Highland Park won the silver Bracket at Duncanville and had a strong weekend.  The Scots beat Lake Highlands 25-16, 25-18, 20-25, 25-15; Red Oak 26-24, 25-20, 25-18; Clear Springs 25-8, 25-23; Arlington 28-26, 28-26; and Keller 24-26, 25-20, 26-24.  Waco Midway had a strong finish at the Warrior showcase, placing fourth to San Antonio Reagan.  Alamo Heights beat Deer park to win their own tournament

Big News and Many Thanks

Our own Margeaux Mendenhall was named All Tournament at the Duncanville Tournament.  Congratulations, Margeaux!!

A big thank you to Patty Ken and Lori Lloyd for doing a GREAT job of providing food and drinks this weekend for the girls!  And another big thank you to the Lloyds for hosting a very fun parent's party after the tournament!

HP is undefeated for the day. Beat Arlington Martin 13-25, 25-14, 25-19; Beat Arlington 28-26, 28-26. HP is playing Keller for silver division championship now.

Duncanville update

HP beat Stephenville 25-14, 25-14 and plays the winner of Arlington Martin and Colleyville Heritage at 10:00am on Saturday in the Main Gym #1. HP is in the Silver Division Bracket.

It is some consolation that 4A Magnolia, after putting HP in the losers bracket in 3 sets, knocked out the recent 5A champ Amarillo in 2 sets. Magnolia plays Pearce at 8am Saturday in the quarterfinals.

Duncanville update

HP lost 26-24 16-25 21-25 to Clear Lake. Play at 7:00 game in gym 3 against loser of stephenville and kingwood.

Duncanville update

HP lost to Magnolia in three. 14-25 25-19 16-25. Plays Clear Creek as soon as court is ready. Win or lose we play again at 7:00. But the courts are running one hour behind at least.

Friday we will have our first big tournament - the Duncanville Tournament of Champions. HP starts play a 8:00 Friday morning. First Matches - Tuesday, Aug. 10 at HPMS

Join us Tuesday as the Lady Scots take on Red Oak and Lake Highlands. This great evening of action will start at 5:00! We look forward to seeing everyone there.

Scrimmage Tonight!

First, I'd like to thank the Ogdens for hosting our Varsity meeting last night. The fellowship and food was great! I can tell already it is going to be a great year both on and off the court.

Our scrimmage starts at 5:00 this afternoon at the Middle School - let's have a big fan turn-out and get the girls off to a great start. We look forward to seeing everyone there!
