Pearland Update
HP lost to Lake Highlands in three in the Silver Division Championship. HP was 5-3 for the tournament.

HP beat FB Travis in 3. 25-19 14-25 25-20. We are about to play Clements. It is in Sugarland. If we win we play in the championship for Silver the winner of new braunfels and Lake Highlands.

HP lost to Magnolia in two in the final match and finished in 6th place overall for the tournament.

Byron Nelson Tournament
Pool play for the team on Friday is scheduled at Gym #5 at Medlin Middle School. All three matches are scheduled for Medlin. This should be about 6 miles closer to HP than the Justin Northwest High School where the tournament was held last year. Byron Nelson High School is a new high school in the Northwest ISD and is close to Medlin Middle School. Medlin Middle School address is 601 Parkview Drive, Roanoke, TX 76262-4218.

Duncanville update
HP beat Stephenville 25-14, 25-14 and plays the winner of Arlington Martin and Colleyville Heritage at 10:00am on Saturday in the Main Gym #1. HP is in the Silver Division Bracket.
It is some consolation that 4A Magnolia, after putting HP in the losers bracket in 3 sets, knocked out the recent 5A champ Amarillo in 2 sets. Magnolia plays Pearce at 8am Saturday in the quarterfinals.

HP lost 26-24 16-25 21-25 to Clear Lake. Play at 7:00 game in gym 3 against loser of stephenville and kingwood.

Scrimmage Tonight!
First, I'd like to thank the Ogdens for hosting our Varsity meeting last night. The fellowship and food was great! I can tell already it is going to be a great year both on and off the court.
Our scrimmage starts at 5:00 this afternoon at the Middle School - let's have a big fan turn-out and get the girls off to a great start. We look forward to seeing everyone there!
